Weldon Wagon Trail

A lovely, off the beaten track, hike above Indian Creek through Oregon white oak woodlands with open ridgetop meadows, wildflowers, and views of the White Salmon Valley all the way to Mt Hood. This historic wagon road was built in the early 1900’s during the White Salmon valley “apple boom.” to transport apples to market from orchards on Burdoin Mtn. It is now a year-round trail with spring wildflowers and great vine maple and oak woodland colors in the autumn. It is also a great trail for mountain biking.
